NFPA 17A, 96 & LAFD Compliant

UL-300 Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems

Design, Installation, and Upgrades to Meet NFPA 17A, 96, and LAFD Regulations

Is your restaurant system outdated? We upgrade commercial kitchens to UL 300 standards. Avoid fines, stay insured, and ensure safety.

Why You Must Upgrade to UL-300

Modern commercial kitchens burn hotter than ever. Systems installed before November 21, 1998 typically use outdated "Dry Chemical" technology designed for old animal-fat frying.

Today's kitchens use vegetable oils with auto-ignition temperatures above 685°F. Old systems can knock down the flames, but they fail to cool the super-heated oil, leading to dangerous re-ignition.

Per California Fire Code Section 904.12 and LAMC Section 57.95.02, these older systems are no longer compliant.

The Risks of Non-Compliance

Voided Insurance

If a fire occurs with a non-compliant system, coverage may be denied.

LAFD Citations

Potential fines and "Red Tags" from the Fire Marshal.

Business Closure

Immediate shutdown until the system is upgraded.

The Solution: Wet Chemical Systems

To meet the UL-300 Standard, you need a Wet Chemical System. These systems solve two problems simultaneously:

Smothering

Instantly cuts off oxygen to the fire, stopping combustion immediately.

Cooling

A chemical reaction (saponification) rapidly lowers the oil temperature to prevent re-flash.

The Result: Full compliance with NFPA 96 and California Title 19, insurance-approved protection, and peace of mind.

Is Your System Outdated? (Self-Check)

You might need an immediate upgrade if any of the following apply:

Your system was installed before 1994 or has a "Dry Chemical" label on the tank.

You have recently replaced a fryer or cooking appliance (requires nozzle adjustment).

Your insurance carrier requested proof of UL 300 compliance.

The Fire Marshal issued a correction notice.
