About the role
SOS Fire Services is a growing fire protection company serving Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our team.
Our company specializes in fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, repairs, and commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
Previous experience in the fire protection industry is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
We are looking for someone interested in building a long-term career with our company.
What you'll do
- Perform fire extinguisher inspections, maintenance, and servicing.
- Inspect fire extinguishers at commercial properties and customer locations.
- Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Install and replace fire extinguishers and related accessories.
- Complete inspection reports, service tags, and required documentation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company service vehicles.
- Travel to customer locations throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable fire protection standards.
- Assist with commercial kitchen fire suppression system maintenance as needed.
What you need
- Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record &Ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable performing hands-on technical work.
- Ability to safely lift and handle fire extinguishers and equipment.
- Willingness to travel to service locations throughout the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles.
- Interest in long-term employment and professional growth.
Nice to have
- Previous experience servicing fire extinguishers or Experience in the fire protection industry.
- Mechanical or technical repair experience.
- Existing California fire extinguisher service certifications
- Experience working directly with customers.
Licenses & certifications
- Valid California Driver's License - Required
- SFM California Fire Extinguisher Service license- Preferred
