Hi, I’m Maureen Avigad, the owner and operator of S.O.S. Fire Services.
As a woman-owned and family-operated business founded in 2009, our mission has always been simple: to treat every business we protect with the same level of care and accountability as our own. Over the past 17 years, that commitment to integrity, strict code compliance, and personal customer service has helped us grow into a trusted commercial life-safety partner across Southern California.
Hands-On Technical Expertise & Certification
For me, leading a life-safety company isn’t just about managing logistics, it’s about knowing the industry inside and out. Early on, I made it a priority to earn my own State Fire Marshal license.
Even though I primarily manage operations rather than servicing equipment in the field, acquiring direct technical credentials from the State Fire Marshal was essential to me. It ensures that whenever you consult with our office, you are receiving precise, reliable guidance grounded in California Title 19, CSLB regulations, and national NFPA standards. I firmly believe our clients deserve clear answers and full confidence, whether we are processing plan checks, managing kitchen hood suppression systems, or scheduling routine portable fire extinguisher inspections.
