The challenge

What the Client Needed

A high-volume restaurant with a long, heavy-duty cooking line needed its CaptiveAire tank system connected, tested and accepted by the Fire Department without holding up its opening.

What we did

How the Job Was Done

  1. System hookup

Mechanical and electrical trigger connections across the multi-cylinder CaptiveAire configuration.

  2. Wiring and manual stations

Signal wiring where applicable and the manual push station connections, following the manufacturer's specifications and the mechanical plans.

  3. Internal pre-test

A dry run before the official inspection: every manual release point tripped, the gas valve closed on microswitch activation, and the alarm signal reached the building panel.

  4. Fire Department acceptance

We hosted the fire official for the acceptance test and demonstrated manual actuation, automatic fuel shut-off and alarm signaling.

Results

The Outcome

  • Approved on the first inspection

The pre-test meant the Fire Department acceptance test passed the first time.

  • Opening kept on schedule

No inspection delay to the restaurant's opening.

  • Whole cooking line protected

Automatic suppression with fuel shut-off interlocks.
